Are you interested in becoming a productive gardener with abundance from the garden all year round? This organic gardening course covers all the basic requirements needed to become a successful home gardener using Permaculture techniques. Some of the main points covered;
- Seed saving and seedling raising and growing from cuttings
- Identifying plant families
- What to plant when
- Nursery, garden and property design
- Building soil
- Composting and worm farming
- Looking at the importance of organics
- Natural pest and weed control
- Hands on garden projects
This 20 week course consists of three small courses of 7, 7 and 6 weeks, held every Wednesday. Six units from a Certificate Two in Horticulture Course with two units taught at a time using Permaculture principles. The entire 20 week course is held twice a year at the community gardens in Yandina on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia.
The cost is $180 and concession card holders can pay by installments if they wish to do so.
